Milton Clyde McKenzie, 93, of Austin, Texas was called home to our Lord on July 7, 2015. He was born in Littig, Texas on September 8, 1921. Clyde was married to Alice Lillian McKenzie for 69 years. Clyde served in the Army and fought for our freedom during WWII. Clyde was a chief mechanic at Pepsi-Cola. He retired from Butter Crust Bakery as a mechanic. After serving his country he continued to serve his community by repairing various tools and equipment for neighbors, family, and friends. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents William and Edna McKenzie. Clyde is survived by his wife Alice McKenzie, his sister Billie Gene McKenzie, daughters Laura Schneider, and Betty Steinhauser (David), son Donald McKenzie (Shirley), grandchildren Jaclyn, Cory, Brande and two great-grandchildren Kyra and Kadence. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Funeral services will be conducted at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
