Bio

Son of Joseph & Sophie (Kozeal) Bartusek. Married to Fern Louise Russell on 10-9-1940 at Broken Bow, NE. WW II Veteran - US Army - 5-14-1943/2-24-1946. He went on to run two sale barns. He became co-owner of the Burwell Livestock Market with Bernard "Tiny" Wagner for 16 years. During that time he became part owner in the Bassett and Arnold sale barns. He sold the Burwell Livestock Market and built the Ericson Livestock Market in 1964 with Al James and Tom Majors. He retired in 1984. The couple moved to Ogallala in 1998. He was on the Garfield County Frontier Fair Association board for three years and he enjoyed setting up the Burwell parade for more than 20 years.
