BURWELL — Irene Katherine Hovorka, 90, of Burwell died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burwell. The Rev. Mark Maresh will officiate. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery at Burwell. Mrs. Hovorka was born May 17, 1923, in Elyria to Joseph and Sophia (Kozeal) Bartusek. She married Stanley E. Hovorka on Sept. 5, 1944, in Grand Island. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors of the immediate family include her daughter, Sharon Sipe of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister Florence Bartusek of California; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
