Bio

The Facts (Brazoria County, TX), June 19, 2012: Charles "Charlie" Paul Hundl, 87, of Clute, passed from this earth to his heavenly home with God on Saturday, June 16, 2012, and he is now celebrating his 66th wedding anniversary with his wife, Georgie. Charlie was born to John and Mary Hundl on November 16, 1924 in Wallis, Texas. He married Georgie Matej on June 17, 1946. Together they raised four daughters, Charlene Jones (Dave), Theresa Wysocki (Gene), Mary Ann Reed (Robert), and Carol Guffey (Ronnie). Charlie was a devout Catholic, a wonderful husband and grandfather. He had tremendous faith in God, loved his family, went to daily mass and prayed the rosary every day. His favorite moments were when his family was together and when friends stopped by just for a visit. He loved making his famous barbecue and homemade sauce, and he was happy when he saw others enjoy it. Charlie was a carpenter by trade and was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Clute. He is survived in death, not only his four daughters, but many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Clute with Msgr. Leo Wleczyk officiating. The burial will be held at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Wallis, Texas. Pallbearers will be Charles Pyle, David Wysocki, Mark Wysocki, Jake Guffey, Marvin Kaiser, and Dwayne Hundl. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church in Clute or St. Michael Catholic Church St. Vincent DePaul Society. Memorial online condolences may sent to www.stroudfuneralhome.com.
