Daughter of Mike Totsy/Tatsy/Totcy (d. 1904 NE) ---------------------------------------- Proskocil Rites Held at Chapel Anna Proskocil was born June 9, 1894 in Poland to Michael and Cecelia Tatcy and died May 5, 1984 at the Valley County Nursing home in Ord, Nebraska at the age of 89. At a young age, Anna moved with her family from Poland to a farm west of Ord. She attended rural schools in Valley County. The family then moved to Omaha where she worked in a meat packing plant. She married Joseph Proskocil on February 25, 1913, in Omaha. They then moved and farmed west of Ord and in 1944, moved to town. Since December of 1983, Anna and Joseph have lived in the C-Wing of the Valley County Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; three sons, Bill and his wife, Georgia, of Ord, Tony and his wife, Gladys, of Ord, and Joe, Jr. and his wife, Florence, of Mountain Home, ID; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lydia Proskocil of Ord; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, one brother and two sisters. Services were held Tuesday, May 8, 1984 at 10 am at the Ord Memorial Chapel with Father Stanley Gorak officiating.
