From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram , Tuesday, January 16, 2007: Earlene Burden, 95, a wonderful Christian mother, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 3 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Garden Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 9709, Fort Worth 76147. Earlene Burden was born March 24, 1911, in Collin County. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Earlene retired from Texas Christian University where she served on the staff. The family wants to extend a very special thank you to the nurses and staff at Wedgwood Nursing Home for their tender, loving care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Burden, and her daughter, Tommye George. Survivors: Son, Max Burden; grandson, Keith Anderson; great-grandson, Andy Anderson; brother, Cliff Reed; sister, Mattie Lee Davis; and wonderful friends, nieces and nephews.
