Bio

Son of John Chapman and Annie Trober, husband of Martha M. Edwards married January 24, 1846 in Robertson County, Tennessee. Their children: Edney A. Chapman, William Thomas Chapman, Temperance Ann "Tempy" Chapman, George W. Chapman, James Franklin Chapman, John Henry Chapman, David Granville Chapman, Nancy E. Chapman and Mary Ella Chapman. Alfred was born in Kentucky. His family moved to Robertson County, Tennessee where he spent most of his life. He was a farmer. Alfred and Martha had nine children. Most of their children moved to Texas. After the death of his beloved Martha on February 04, 1892, Alfred now age sixty-seven came to Texas to be with his children. He died in Hutchins, Dallas County, Texas on March 03, 1915 and is buried at Hutchins Cemetery, Hutchins, Dallas County, Texas.
