John Henry Chapman born March 02, 1855 in Nashville, Robertson County, Tennessee the son of Alfred Chapman and Martha M. Edwards Chapman. He married Annie C. "Rissie" Wilson on October 28, 1876 in Robertson County, Tennessee. To this union they had eleven children: Alford E. Chapman born July 01, 1877. Elenora C. "Nora" Chapman born January 01, 1879 George Johnston Chapman, Sr. born July 18, 1883 Frank E. "James" Chapman born August 15, 1885 Floyd Henry Chapman born December 08, 1887 Walter Herman Chapman born December 28, 1889 Horace Leonard Chapman born February 15, 1891 Cora May Chapman born July 28, 1893 A. Homer Chapman born September 15, 1895 Roy Preston Chapman born August 10, 1897 Ernest Dawson "Buddy" Chapman born June 06, 1901 He died August 24, 1934 in Red Oak, Ellis County, Texas.
