TWO HYNES MEN KILLED The toll of death in the Monroe county mines has called two more men. Another sad accident occurred.at Hynes on Tuesday morning and as the result of a fall of slate in the entry Louie Lewis, forty five years of age, and William Smead, a trapper boy, aged fifteen years are dead. The accident happened about eight o'clock in the morning. Mr. Lewis had left. his room and had gone into the entry and the trapper boy had met him. While they were conversing the heavy fall of slate came. Mr. Lewis had his back broken and death followed a short time after the injury, The Smead lad was crushed through the hips and there was such a pressure that the intestines were forced from the body. He died Tuesday evening about seven thirty o'clock. The wife of Mr. Lewis died about four years ago and since that time the father has kept his family of three children at home and has cared for them in everyway, It takes the sunshine out of their little lives and leaves a most pitiful condition. Coroner Hyatt was cailed Tuesday and held an inquest over the remains of Mr. Lewis. He was at Hynes again yesterday and held an inquest over the body of Mr. Smead.
