Son of Steve and Tilda Wright. Information from Pulaski County Cemetery Records. ====== John Wright, 90, Goodwater community, died Sunday at Colonial Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born at Snell, Ky., on Feb. 3, 1882, the son of Stephen and Sara Elizabeth Goodin Wright, both deceased. He married the former Lena Ping on April 8, 1906, at Somerset, and she survives. Other survivors include five sons, Edward Lewis Wright of Herlong, California, William Wright of Dayton, Ohio, Virgil Horace Wright of Goodwater community, Joe Wright of Somerset, and Robert Boyce Wright of Del Rio, Texas; seven daughters, Mrs. Dallas Johnson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mrs. R.E. Moore of Ann Arbor, Mich., Mrs. Clyde Hansford, Mrs. Ovel V. Sears, and Mrs. Glen Brown, all three of Somerset, Mrs. Lester Phillippi of Ruth, Ky., and Mrs. Archie Smith of Harlan, Ky.; one brother, Frank Wright of Ellensburg, Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Elie Farmer of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Roscoe Shiplet of Bartlett, Texas; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company with Rev. Charles Hogg and Rev. Harold Henson officiating. Burial will be in the Goodwater Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company.
