Bio

Charles Kenneth (Kenneth) Vaughan was born November 7, 1892 in Mesquite, Dallas, Texas, USA, to Charles Wesley (Charlie) Vaughan and Sarah Louisa Scott (Sadie) Vineyard Vaughan. He was one of five children this researcher has found, to-date. His siblings: - John Pearce Vaughan m1. Anna Bertha Wise m2. Ivy Parker - Bessie Elsa Mae Vaughan m. Reuben Allen Yates - Eula Mattie Scott Vaughan m. Peter Alonzo (Pete) Wingo - Loyd Henderson (L. H. or Shorty) Vaughan m. ?; he was divorced at the time of his passing. Kenneth met and married Lola Pearl Houk on December 5, 1915 in Hopkins, Texas, USA and they had four children this researcher has found, to-date: - Alene Etoye (or Etay Aline) Vaughan (Jun 5, 1919-Jun 5, 1919) - Leroy Orben Vaughan (1920-2021) - Carrie Virginia Vaughan (1922-1923) - Cecil Guy Vaughan (1924-1997) After Lola passed away (October 14, 1924), in New Mexico, Kenneth remarried to Alvina Schroeder. They were blessed with one child this researcher has found, to-date: Lorene Vaughan (b. 1930) Kenneth passed away, sadly, as a result of shock due to extensive burns from a gas heater explosion that occurred on March 11, 1936 in his home in Brashear, Texas, USA. He succumbed to the burns from the explosion on April 12, 1936 in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, USA. His sons, Leroy & Cecil moved to live with their Uncle, Loyd Henderson (Shorty) Vaughan and his family, after Kenneth's passing. Lorene remained with her Mother, Alvina Schroeder Vaughan Surovik Talley. Rest in Peace, Kenneth. j*
