Bio

Rudy R. Ludvik, 84, of Wahoo, died Dec. 8 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo Rudy was born on Sept. 3, 1923, to Rudolph and Agnes (Jacob) Ludvik in rural Weston. He attended grade school at District 98. The family moved to the Wahoo area in 1943. Rudy married Lillian Ann Hula on September 10, 1946 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo, Nebraska. They lived on the farm south of Wahoo where he ran his farming operation. He retired from farming in 1978 and worked part time in Wahoo. He also served as manager of the Eagles Lodge, of which he was a member. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and a 50 year member of Knights of Columbus Council 1833. His parents, a brother, Leonard, and brother-in-law, Lloyd Johnson, preceeded him in death. He is survived by his wife; sons and daughters-in-law, Bernie Ludvik of Crete, David and Cheryl Ludvik of Valparaiso, Danial and Melanie Ludvik of Wahoo, daughter and son-in-law, Lynette and Victor Frost of Omaha; nine grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, George and Betty Ludvik of Wahoo, sisters and brothers-in-law, Agnes and Albert Kavan of Colon, Dorthy and Melvin Kavan of Morse Bluff, and Mary Ann Johnson of Wahoo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 14 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. Casket Bearers are Greg, Tom, and Trevor Ludvik, Joe Robichaud, Michael Frost, Albert Lee Kavan, Mike Veskerna, and Richard Ludvik. Interment will be at St. Francis Cemetery in Wahoo.
