Obituary published in The Western Kansas Press, May 17, 1966 & The Great Bend Tribune, Great Bend, Kansas May 16 1966. Herman D. Crockett Ellinwood Herman D. Crockett, 50, died of an apparent heart attack Sunday. Born March 22, 1916 at Ballinger, Tex., he and his wife, Lois, were marreid Oct. 8, 1938 at Lubbock, Tex. He was a pumper for the Morgenstern Oil Co. He was a member of the Methodist Church. IOOF, American Legion, Police Reserve, all of Ellinwood, and BPOE, Great Bend. He is survived by the widow; sons, Herman Jr., and Randy of the home; daughters, Twila of the home and Mrs. Patricia Raven, Ellinwood; sisters, Mrs. Pauline McCall, Enchos, Tex., Mrs. Lou Bridges, Abilene, Tex., and Mrs. Virginia Moody, Ellinwood; and mother, Mrs. Maurine Crockett, Morton, Tex., Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist Church, Ellinwood, with the Rev. Ray Bressler officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln-Comanche Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kimple Funeral Home, Ellinwood until service time.
