MRS. BRIDGET M. POHL, 89 Bridget M. Pohl, 89, of Grand Island died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Tom Ryan will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Mrs. Pohl was born on May 14, 1912, at Abie to Joseph and Pauline (Rurcha) Hinesh. She grew up in the Bruno and Appleton areas before moving with her family to Doniphan. She graduated from Doniphan High School in 1930. She married Edward T. Pohl on June 13, 1933, in Central City. They farmed near Chapman until Mr. Pohl's death in 1971. Mrs. Pohl then moved to Grand Island. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral Parish, St. Mary's Altar Society and Luncheon Club. She enjoyed embroidery and sewing. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Sonja Pohl of Elkhorn and James and Carol Pohl of Phoenix, Arizona, five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beatrice Rhodes of Trumbull and Ida Nowka of Hastings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, two brothers, Ernest and Edwin Hinesh, and a sister-in-law, Kathryn Pohl of Schuyler.
