Bio

Ella Leona Fetterman, 89, died Sunday, June 6, 1993. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel with the Rev. L.R. Green, pastor of Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Liberal, Kan. Mrs. Fetterman, born in Shattuck, Okla., had lived in Amarillo for 30 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church and the Carpenter's Ladies Auxiliary 180. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolla S. Fetterman, in 1963. Survivors include five sons, Vernon D. Fetterman of Pratt, Kan., Walter E. Fetterman of Dallas and William J. Fetterman, Gene R. Fetterman and John E. Fetterman, all of Amarillo; six daughters, Dorothy Miller and Delores Waybright, both of Liberal, Deomalee Stonestreet of Wilmington, N.C., Delila Walker of Texas City, Delica Fletcher of Fort Worth and Dewilla Hardin of Amarillo; three sisters, Ruth Wittman of Tacoma, Wash., Dolly Kempf of Graham, Wash., and Irene Terry of Vancouver, Wash.; 27 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The family will be at 4605 Mountain Drive and requests memorials be to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 50433, Amarillo, Texas 79159.
