The memorial service will be May 24 for Radie Jane Nelson of Portland, formerly of Lane County, who died May 17 of age-related causes. She was 89. She was born Oct. 4, 1916, in Bethel, Okla., to Robert and Omelia Moore Hogan. She married Rudolph Alfred Nelson in 1950 in Reno, Nev. He died in 1994. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Janeof Eugene and Linda of Portland; and two sisters, Ola McKnight of Tulsa, Okla., and Dessie Roper of Roseburg. Wednesday's service will be at 10:30 a.m. at Cully Center, 5119 NE 57th Ave. in Portland. Arrangements by Poole-Larsen Funeral Home, Eugene. Register Guard May 22, 2006
