Silvanus K. Marek ARLINGTON - Silvanus Kirk "Buck" Marek, 66, a retired Navy helicopter mechanic, died Wednesday in Dallas. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Arlington Funeral Home. Military service: Greenwood Mausoleum in Fort Worth. Visitation: 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials: American Heart Association or Arlington unit of the American Cancer Society. Mr. Marek retired from the Navy in 1966. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Marek of Thrall, and three brothers. Survivors: Wife, Lawrine E. Marek of Arlington; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Carl Ray Ryals of Arlington and Dennis and Kellie Ryals of Fort Worth; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Debby and Frank Martinez of Rosenberg, Connie and Dennis Wehe of New Braunfels and Tammy Marek of Arlington; brother and sister-in-law, Julius and Martha Marek of Elgin; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Theodore Grimm of Taylor; three sisters-in-law, Edna Marek of Manor, Martha Marek of Taylor and Hazel Marek of Arlington; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
