Ruth Helen Grimm (MeMaw), 83, of Taylor passed away Monday, December 19, 2005 at the SPJST Rest home. Family visitation will be 6 - 7:30 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Providence Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Miller and Pastor Jennifer Fuhr officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery. Ruth was born on November 12, 1922 to Adolph and Ella (Korn) Marek in the Thrall area. She was a loving mother and Me Maw. She loved to babysit and take care of children and her family. Ruth also loved gardening, canning, dominoes, and dancing. She would always go on Sunday drives with her husband Ted. Ruth was a wonderful cook and was great at making quilts for her family. Ruth was married to Ted Grimm on August 15, 1946 at the St. John Church in Bartlett. They were married for fifty nine years. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted on September 2, 2005, her parents, and brothers. Ruth is survived by her son, Teddy Grimm, Jr. and wife, Debbie; her daughter, Joyce Harrison and husband, Ronnie; five grandchildren, Sonya Olson and husband, Brian, Dustin Harrison, Heath Grimm, Heather Grimm, and Heidi Grimm; two great granddaughters; five sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Eldon Ball, Randy Pryor, Heath Grimm, Dustin Harrison, Larry Cervenka, and Keith Trolinger. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 401 W. 7th Street, Taylor, TX. 76574 or to the charity of your choice.
