Bio
Lawrine Elizabeth Marek, 92, passed away on May 27, 2024. Funeral Service: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, in Live Oak Chapel at Greenwood with a visitation one hour prior to service, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107; followed by entombment at Greenwood Mausoleum. Lawrine was born and raised in Bastrop, Texas, to parents, Charlie and Elizabeth Seidel. She moved to New Braunfels where she raised her children and later moved to California where she met Buck Marek, who preceded her in death in 1995. She and her family then moved back to Texas and settled in Arlington. Lawrine was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed going to the lodge as well as conventions. She loved dancing to German music, country and western music as well. She also enjoyed bowling in her spare time. It was always a joy to enjoy her cooking and holiday entertaining, for she truly took pride in having the family around. Lawrine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buck Marek; two sisters; her brother; and her son, Carl Ray Ryals. She is survived by her children; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lenora Mueller and Lugine Voss; and numerous nieces and nephews.
