Wonka, LaVerne F. LaVerne passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 21, 2015. She was born on October 15, 1940 to John and Cecilia (Bartek) Leitgeb in Wahoo, NE. LaVerne married George Wonka on August 31, 1957 at St. John's Church in Weston, NE. LaVerne is survived by her husband, George Wonka; and children, Gregory and Beth Wonka, Katherine and Timothy Vasa, and Barbara Wonka-Vasa; grandchildren, John, Alexandria, and Max Wonka, Adam and Amber Janecek, T.W. and Jen Vasa, Samantha and Clint Vandenberg, Paul Vasa, Chris and Rayna Vasa, Betsey and Cassidy Zwiebel, and Ben Vasa; and great grandchildren, Paxton, Tucker, and Carter Janecek, Vincent and Spencer Vandenberg, and Harper Vasa. She is also survived by her sisters, Dottie Hraban, Betty Jurgens, and Annabelle Vermeline. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cecilia Leitgeb; sister Patricia Jasa; and her in-laws, John and Alice Wonka. MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL Wednesday at 10am at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Weston. VISITATION Tuesday 5-7pm, with 7pm ROSARY, all at Church. Interment in St. John Cemetery, Weston.
