Cox, a retired farmer, was born March 4, 1880, in Comanche, and moved to Odessa in 1946 from Coleman. He was married Jan. 3,1904 in Gustine, Texas, to Willie Pate. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. O.A.Preas of Goldsborough, Mrs. C.A. Preas of Silver Valley, Tex., Veda Cox of 1316 Boatright, and Sadie Cox of Bethesda, Md.; two sons, J. T. Cox,1315 Boatright and Cecil Cox, 2501 West 11th; two sisters, Mrs. W.A. Pate of Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. Pearl Carrigan of Lampasas. The Odessa American (Odessa, Texas 20 Dec 1962, Thu.
