Bio

(9 Mar 1905, Thursday, Mangum Sun-Monitor, Mangum, Greer Co, OK: Las (sic) week H. J. Powell, who lives in the Dennis community, was burning some grass and his two-year-old child was with him and ran into the glowing grass, stumbled and fell, catching fire. Mr. Powell soon extinguished the flames, but on last Friday the child died from the burns. Its remains were buried in the Erick cemetery on last Saturday. The Enterprise extends condolence to the bereaved parents.
