Fort Bend Herald, March 18, 2015: A funeral mass for Robert A. Ernest, 67, of Rosenberg, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg, with Fr. William D. Bartniski officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Robert was a life-long active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He enjoyed his usher duties and never failed to fill in when asked. He was a dutiful servant and found pleasure in helping others. Robert was a true craftsman and loved carpentry work as he and his wife's hobby. Together they made many dreams come true for family members and friends with their wood-working talents and willingness to share. Robert was in the family business of Ernest Garage and Trailer Services for 45 plus years. Robert served in the Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War and was stationed in the Philippines. Robert took great interest in his nieces and nephews upon return and enjoyed keeping up with their daily happenings. He was such a gentle soul and will be sorrowfully missed by many. Comfort is found in knowing he is reunited with his loving wife, Carmella. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carmella Madeiro Ernest; father, Edward J. Ernest; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Rosalie Madeiro; grandparents, Frank and Emily Ernest, John and Emily Pollock; and niece, Sheree Ernest Reid. Survivors include his mother, Leona A. Ernest of Rosenberg; brothers, Donald Ernest and wife, Diane, of Fairchilds, Richard Ernest and wife, Susan, of Needville; brother-in-law, John Jay Madeiro and wife, Cheryl, of Richmond; nephews, Wade Ernest and wife, Marla, of Needville, Wyatt Ernest and wife, Jenny, of Wharton, Justin Ernest and fiancé, Cassidy Hart, of Fairchilds, Adam Madeiro of Houston, Matt Madeiro of Houston; nieces, Shawn Warncke and husband, KB, of Fairchilds, Shara Ernest and companion, Chris Kidd, of Houston, Victoria McCary and husband, Ben, of Needville; numerous great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends; along with aunts, Earlene Pollock, Bernice Pollock, Frances Pollock, and Eleanor Ernest. Pallbearers will include Wade Ernest, Wyatt Ernest, Justin Ernest, KB Warncke, Ben McCary, and Matt Madeiro. Honorary pallbearers will include Joe Janecka and Michael Tydlacka.
