Herald Coaster, July 1, 1997: Funeral services for Frank J. Netardus, 72, of Sugar Land, will be held Wednesday, July 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Sugar Land, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Father Roy Ogerro will officiate the services. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Sugar Land. Mr. Netardus was born July 23, 1924 in Lavaca County, Texas and passed away Monday, June 30, 1997 in Houston. He served in the Marines during World War II and was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Sugar Land Post 4204. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Julia Pesek Netardus; two sisters, Agnes Netardus and Julia Urbish. Mr. Netardus is survived by his wife of 48 and a half years, Mildred Netardus of Sugar Land; daughters, Elaine Raynak and her husband, Donald, of Sugar Land; son, Frank Netardus Jr. of Austin; sisters, Elizabeth Urbish of Hallettsville, Lillian Fabian of Sugar Land, Justina Satsky of Sugar Land, Adela Hermes of Hallettsville; brother, Joe Netardus of Yoakum; grandchildren, Chad Schindler and Clay Schindler; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Sugar Land. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
