Bio

Glenn Alden Young July 30, 1923 - March 11, 2015 Glenn Young, 91, of Lacy Lakeview passed away March 11, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 30, 1923 in Hill County to William and Miriam Pollard Young. On May 5, 1943 he married Oma Dell Shelley and she preceded him in death on March 16, 1989. He later married Mary Hollingsworth and she also preceded him in death. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a welder and worked as a welding supervisor. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Whitney. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Gerald Ray, Cleveland and Clyde; sisters Sue, Lena and Katie. Survivors include his children, James Young, Glenda Braud; step-children, Roy, Tommy, Greg and Cathy; grandsons, several great-grand children; ten great-great-grand children and several step-grand children. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 in Whitney. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney.
