Marian Schwartz, 91 of Grand Island died on March 6, 2015 at Edgewood Vista. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Daniel Naranjo will officiate will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. All Faiths Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Schwartz was born on January 8, 1924, in Hall County, the daughter of William and Ruth (Bernt) McLellan. She grew up in Hall County and received her education in rural elementary schools graduating from Grand Island Senior High school in 1941. She had one year of college and taught school in Hall County for three years before her marriage. She was united in marriage to Everett W. Schwartz on July 17, 1946 in Washington, KS. After which the couple lived on a farm east of Cairo for 20 years then moving into Grand Island. She was a homemaker and a mother. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Eastern Star Andrew Chapter #41 of which she was Past Worthy Matron, Church Women United, and a volunteer at the Red Cross Bloodmobile. Marian is survived by her daughter, Connie (Gary) Gannon of Grand Island; grandsons, Jeff Gannon, John (Jennifer) Gannon and Jason Gannon; great-grandchildren, Jady, Gage and Ayden Gannon; daughter-in-law, Deanna Schwartz of Kearney; grandchildren, Justin Schwartz and Jennifer Tallmon; great-grandchildren, Kamdan, Ashden and Haydan Schwartz, Jonathan and Jace Tallmon; brothers, William and Harold McLellan as well as several nieces and nephews and many special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Everett (James) Schwartz.
