Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Thursday, 19 June 1958 ST. LIBORY (Special Dispatch) - Stanley M. Slawinski died Wednesday afternoon in a Grand Island Hospital. Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Keating Mortuary and at 9:30 a.m. at the Catholic Church in Loup City (sic) with the Rev. Andrew Augustyn officating at the requiem high mass. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. The rosary will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in St. Paul. Mr. Slawinski was born July 21, 1890 (sic) to Stanley and Agatha Slawinski at Duncan, Neb. He was educated there and became a carpenter. In 1914 he married Isabelle Augustyn at Elba. In 1920 the couple moved to a farm southeast of St. Libory. Survivors include his wife; a son, Roman; a sister, Em Stanila of Albuquerque, N.M.; a half sister, Katheryn of Omaha; and three half brothers, Michael of Grand Island, Joseph of Duncan and Antone of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Victoria Tworek. ~~~ Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Friday, 20 June 1958 The funeral services for Stanley M. Slawinsky (sic) will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Keating Mortuary in St. Paul and at 9:30 a.m. at the Catholic Church in St. Libory with the Rev. Andrew Augustyn officiating at the requiem high mass. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery (Grand Island). It had been previously reported that the funeral would be held in Loup City.
