Columbus (Nebraska) Telegram, 7 August 1933 Duncan Womah Dies -- Mrs. Victoria Tworek, 47, passed away at 8:30 p.m. yesterday at her home in Duncan, following a lingering illness of 12 years duration, during which time she was bedfast. Her death was due to a complication of diseases. As Miss Victoria Slawinski, she was born on Sept. 25, 1885, at Duncan, Neb., where she grew to womanhood, and where she was married to Jacob Rosno, on Jan. 30, 1901. To this union were born three sons and three daughters - Mrs. Louis Guszak, of Genoa, Mrs. Henry Marsolek, of Columbus, Stanley and Al Rosno, both of Duncan, and Helen and Ben, both deceased. Mr. Rosno passed away in 1912. On Oct. 9, 1914, Mrs. Rosno married to Felix Tworek, and three children were born to his union - Genevieve, 12, Cyril, 17, and Louise, who died in infancy. Mrs. Tworek spent her entire life in Duncan, where she was well known, and held in high esteem by a large number of friends. Besides her sons and daughters that are living, Mrs. Tworek is survived by her husband and one brother, S. M. Slawinski, of St. Libory, Neb.; one sister, Ven. Sr. M. Stanisla, of Hammond, Ind.; three half brothers, Tony and Joe Olsufka, of Duncan, and Mike Olsufka, of Grand Island; her step-father, John Olsufka, of Duncan and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stanislaus church in Duncan, and burial will be made in the cemetery there.
