CROOK WOMAN Flames Fanned by Wind as She Rushes from Kitchen With Clothing Ablaze. DIES LATER IN HOSPITAL. Burns received when her clothing caught fire yesterday morning while she working at her kitchen stove, caused the death of Mrs. John Haney, 54 years old, for many years a resident of Fort Crook. She was at home alone with her 5-year-old son at the time. When her clothing caught fire, she became panic stricken and ran into the street, where a high wind fanned the flames. Her son called for help at the fort, and the medical staff attended her. She was later sent to St. Joseph's hospital in Omaha where she died last night. She is survived by her husband, two sons, John and James; two daughters, Mary and Catherine; one brother, Dennis Barrett of Kansas City, Mo., and one sister, Sister Mary Josephus of Charity Order, Butte, Mont. The body is being held at Larkins parlors awaiting arrival of the brother and sister.
