Herald Coaster, January 3, 2003: Albina M. Krchnak, 87, was born May 20, 1915 in Sealy to Joseph T. Jasek and Antonia Vancik Jasek, and she passed away Jan. 1, 2003 in Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Father Dan Warden will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pallbearers are Mike Martin, Patrick Martin, David Martin, Brian Martin, Roger Patton, Johnnie Krchnak, George Krchnak, and Lagie Krchnak. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., FM 2218 at Highway 59, in Rosenberg. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Albina was a long-time resident of Rosenberg and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Rosenberg. Albina and her husband, Louis Krchnak, previously owned and operated The Lamar Tractor Co. in Rosenberg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Krchnak; her parents, Joseph and Antonia Jasek; her sisters, Gladys Jasek and Eleanor H. Rutledge; and her brothers, Freddie J. Jasek and Milton D. Jasek. She is survived by her sisters, Martha V. Martin of Rosenberg, Mildred J. Graham of Rosenberg, and Betty E. Nichols of Richmond; her brother, Jerry J. Jasek of Richmond; her nephews, Mike Martin of Rosenberg, Patrick Martin of Rosenberg, David Martin of Rosenberg, Tommy Rutledge of Longview, David Rutledge of Naperville, Ill., Herold Browning of Port Lavaca, Philip Browning of Kingwood, Roger Patton of Katy, and Chris Patton of the Virgin Islands; nieces, Susan Coppedge of Ore City, Carol Patton of Katy, Dorie Casevecchia of Clear Lake, and Ellen Patton of the Virgin Islands; and a great-nephew, Brian Martin of Rosenberg. Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Albina M. Krchnak. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, (281) 341-8800.
