Herald Coaster, January 16, 1997: Funeral services for Jonnie Anderson Pierce, 78, of Rosenberg, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 1:30 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Reverend Russell Ray will officiate the services. Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, in the Stateroom at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. (FM 2218 and Hwy. 59) in Rosenberg. She was born on Jan. 3, 1919 in Eustace to John R. Hooper and Lora Mae Thomas Hooper, and she passed away on Jan. 15, 1997 in Richmond. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Rosenberg and Beta Sigma Epsilon Sorority. She was preceded in death by her son, David Curtis Anderson, and her brother, Darrell Hooper. She is survived by her sons, John D. Anderson and his wife, Patricia, of Richmond, and Richard C. Stegall of Richmond; her sisters, Kathryn Lawrence of Kilgore and Imogene Trammell of Eustace; her grandchildren, Peyton and Chad Anderson of Richmond, Mike Stegall and his wife, Teresa, of Artesia, New Mexico, and Michelle Taylor and her huband, Randy, of Artesia, New Mexico; great-grandchildren, Kendra and Kelsey Stegall, and Cody Taylor, all of Artesia, New Mexico. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, 281-341-8800.
