Dates are approximate. James married Elizabeth Polk, 30 November 1822, Monroe Co., Mississippi. They were the parents of John Stuart M.D., William, Mary Eliza, Francis Asbury, and James P. McCown. The family had moved to Arkansas, but Elizabeth was back in Lowndes Co., by the 1850 Census. James probably died and was buried in Arkansas.
