Daughter of Edwin Polk Paschall and Elvira Wilmouth Brisendine. Wife of William Hugh Caldwell, mother of 5. Dallas Morning News 5 May 1960 Funeral Rites Set For Mrs. W. H. Caldwell of Mesquite Area MESQUITE, Texas - Funeral services for Mrs. W. H. Caldwell, life-long residentof the Mesquite area and widow of Mesquite farmer and cattleman Will Caldwell, will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church of Mesquite. Officiating will be the Rev. L. B. Jenkins and the Rev. J. Perry King. Burial will be in the Long Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Caldwell, 85, died Tuesday at her home here after a long illness. She was born in the Long Creek Community near Mesquite, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Paschall. pioneer East Dallas County residents. Mrs. Caldwell was active in Red Cross work during World War I. She was active in the Women's Missionary Union of the First Baptist Church, where she had been a member 40 years, and was past president of of the Long Creek Cemetery Association. Her husband died in 1937. Survivors are two sons, Robert Caldwell of Hamlin, Jones-Fisher Counties, and Steve Caldwell of Clinton, Ark.; two daughters, Mrs. Ed Smith and Miss Fannie Pearl Caldwell of Mesquite; a brother, A. E. Paschall of Mesquite; two grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
