The Bakersfield Californian 13 November 1975, page 43 Brite, William Clyde Masonic Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Hopson Mortuary Chapel for William Clyde Brite, 80, 1108 Quincy Street, who died Nov. 12. Officiating will be past master Herbert Hemphill, chaplain James Wiggins and marshal Wayne Warner, all of the Tehachapi Masonic Lodge 313. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. in the Tehachapi Public Cemetery with the Rev. Lewis L. Wakeland, chaplain of the Tehachapi American Legion Post 221 officiating. Mr. Brite, a native of Brite Valley, Tehachapi, had resided all his life in California and Kern County. He was chief of Kern County Probation Department 18 years. He was member and past master of the Masonic Lodge of Tehachapi, past patron of the Eastern Star of Tehachapi, member of Scottish Rite of Bakersfield, Kern County Retired Employees Association, and past commander of the American Legion Post 221, Tehachapi. Survivors include the widow, Nora; a daughter, Patricia Sebastian of Bellevue, Wash.; 4 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be members of Tehachapi Masonic Lodge.
