Bio
Charles Emery Kilpatrick, 94, of Corpus Christi, formerly of Cuero, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014. He was born September 30, 1920 in Hillsboro to the late William Lee and Mary Elizabeth Mathis Kilpatrick. He married the late Cristobell Dixon on April 5, 1942. Charles was a retired Army officer, serving in both World War II and the Korean War. He loved to read, play golf, and spend time with his family. He was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's and spent three years at Cimarron Place where he made many friends and received excellent care from the entire Cimarron Place staff, as well as Altus Hospice. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy J. Sparks (William) of Corpus Christi and Mary E. Lesefka (Bob) of Smithville; son, William Kilpatrick of Victoria; grandchildren, Robert Lefeska Jr. (Jessica), Lisa Longwell (Danny), Richard Sparks II (Kayla), Kristen M. Gilham (Chris), William K. Kilpatrick (Amy), and Amy Kilpatrick; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Longwell, Heloise Kilpatrick, Wilhelmina Kilpatrick, and Simon Kilpatrick. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Cristobell Kilpatrick; son, Charles E. Kilpatrick Jr.; son-in-law, Richard D. Sparks; granddaughter, Katy Sparks; nine brothers; and three sisters. Services will be held at Hillside Cemetery with interment to follow. Dr. Glenn Robertson will officiate.
