Fremont Tribune (NE) - Wednesday, February 13, 2013 Gregory G. Herre, 54, of Fremont died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at his home. He was born Sept. 20, 1958, in Fremont to Darrell and Mary Ann (Fiala) Herre. He lived in Fremont most of his life. He lived in Omaha from 1977 to 1978. Greg married Carol Bassett in Fremont, they later divorced. Greg had worked in construction for Kent Adams and Ken Gaskins. He retired in 2002. He is survived by daughter, Rashelle N. Herre (and fiance, Greg Brown) of Lincoln; son, Jeremy (and wife, Donna) Stodola of Denver; mother, Mary Ann Smith of Fremont; sister, Cheryl Gaul of Fremont; brothers, Jeff (and wife, Tracey) Herre of Fremont, Kevin (and wife, Donna) Herre of Salt Lake City and Shawn (and wife, Heidi) Smith of Nebraska City; and grandson, Jeremiah G. Brown. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Herre. The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. Scott Jensen officiating. There is no visitation. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
