PRAIRIE POINT — Services for Betty Ann Richardson, 69, of Prairie Point are set for 2 p.m. today at the Rosston Methodist Church with the Rev. Ricky Kerr of Missionary Church of Saint J. assisted by the Rev. C.E. Cole of Church of Christ of Saint Jo, under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Rosston Cemetery under the direction of the Clement-Keel Funeral Home.Mrs. Betty Richardson died Friday at the Denton Regional Hospital.She was born Oct. 23, 1936 in Forestburg to Theodore Roy and Anna Rebecca Barclay Meyer. On Nov. 11, 1955 she married Tommy P. Richardson.She was a member of the Church of Christ Church in Forestburg. She had been a seamstress for Russell Newman factory. She had been in food service at Forestburg High School. She was a supervisor over food service in the Era School system. She was also employed at Wal-Mart, working in the deli. She graduated from Forestburg High School and held the record for scoring the most points in one basketball game.Survivors include her husband, Tommy Richardson, her daughters and sons-in law, Arlene Morgan of Prairie Point, Judy Richardson-Hacktel of Prairie Point; Rebecca and Will Phillips of Seguin; her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy Jr. and Gayle Richardson of Prairie Point; 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; her twin brother and sister-in-law Billy and Bobbie Meyer of Archer City and her sister, Wilma Richardson of Prairie Point.She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Brian Richardson; her brother Roy "Buddy" Meyer; and her sister Geneva Holloway.
