Herald Coaster, February 27, 1989: Funeral services for Gus B. Hrncir, 86, of Rosenberg, are scheduled 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Father Dan Warden will officiate, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A rosary will be held 7 p.m. Monday at the Davis-Dawson Chapel of Rosenberg. Mr. Hrncir was born July 7, 1903 in Moravia in Lavaca County. He died Feb. 25 at Autumn Hills Nursing Home in Sugar Land. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Hrncir of Rosenberg; a daughter, Mary Ann Stokes of Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Gus Hrncir of Stafford; three sisters; five brothers; and two grandchildren, Gus Hrncir Jr. and Bobby Stokos. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at Davis-Dawson Funeral Home in Rosenberg which is in charge of arrangements.
