Bio
Kathryn (Inez) Ramsey, 84, passed away on Friday, Sept. 30, 2005. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Trinity Memorial Baptist Church in Marlin, with the Rev. Alan Six and Bro. Clement Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin. Kathryn was born in Rosebud, Texas, to the late Albert Josiah and Minnie Lee Hill. On June 28, 1947, she married Wilmer Ramsey in Dallas. She was an active member of Trinity Memorial Baptist Church, where she served as secretary of the Lois Class and as a member of the choir. She was also a volunteer for many years, at the Samaritan House in Marlin. She was preceded in death by her husband; five brothers; and five sisters. Survivors include her son, James Ramsey, of Bossier City, LA; daughters, Minella Kucker, of Temple, and Beverly Hamby, of Troy; sisters, Geneva McIntyre, of Kosse and Johnnie Goodwin, of Quitman, Texas; and seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
