Bio
Leonette Entrop, 83, of Temple, died Friday, November 21, 2014, in a local care center. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, November 24, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Sauser as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Westphalia. Leonette was born in Westphalia, Texas, to the late Leo and Lucy Kleypas Kasberg. She graduated from Westphalia Catholic Schools. Leonette married Clarence Entrop on October 30, 1951, in Westphalia. They have lived in Temple over 60 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Temple where she worked at St. Mary’s School Cafeteria for 23 years. She participated in the church choir and was a member of Catholic Daughters Association, KJZT, and worked for many years volunteering her time and energy at various activities at the Knights of Columbus Council #3444 in Temple. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Entrop; and five brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Clarence Entrop, of Temple; sons, Daryl Entrop, of Temple, and Donald Entrop and wife, Theresa, of Morgan's Point Resort; daughter, Beverly Teague and husband, Danny, of Morgan's Point Resort; grandchildren: Derek Teague and wife, Jordan, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Megan Pearce and husband, Brandon, of Morgan's Point Resort, Joshua Teague, of Denton, Justin Pole, of Morgan's Point Resort, Christopher Entrop, of Lubbock, and Amanda Entrop, of Morgan's Point Resort; great-grandchildren, Tyla Teague, of Green Bay, and Jade Teague, of Morgan's Point Resort; brother:, Bob Kasberg and wife, Janell, Gerald Kasberg and wife, Wanda, and James Kasberg, all of Temple; sisters: Nelda Poncik, of Little River-Academy, Lafon Eary, of Temple, and Margie Nell Stock and husband, Harold, of Bryan; other relatives and many friends.
