Lenora "Nora" M. Britton, 94, of Brenham, died November 12, 2014, in Briarwood Manor Care Center in Bellville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2014, at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Wesley Brethren Church Cemetery, with Pastor Michael Groseclose officiating. Lenora Martha was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to the late Frank D. and Annie (Hromadka) Krizan. She was educated in West Station schools. Nora married J. W. Britton on Jan. 25, 1941, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Houston. She was employed by Joske's in retail sales. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Britton, on July 7, 1982; and brothers: George Meschewitz, Fred Krizan, Adolph Krizan, Dan Krizan, Lawrence Krizan, Calvin Krizan, Frank Krizan, and Ed Krizan; and sisters: Lucille Jezek, Mary Mikeska, and Minnie Bateman. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Albina Krizan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
