Memorial services for Dennis Truman, age 51, of Bristow, Nebraska will be Monday May 23, 2011 at 10:30 A.M at Bristow Community Hall in Bristow, Nebraska. Reverend Paulo de Tarso Ribeiro will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Spencer, Nebraska. Dennis died May 18, 2011, at Niobrara Valley Hospital in Lynch, Nebraska. Dennis John Truman, son of John Del and Verna Jean (Fox) Truman, was born on September 2, 1959 in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from O'Neill Public School in O'Neill, Nebraska. On May 13, 1981, he was married to Anita Harms at Fremont, Nebraska. Two children were born to them, Jeremiah and Aaron. Dennis and Anita lived in Fremont, and O'Neill before moving to Bristow. Dennis was a member of the Bristow United Methodist Church in Bristow. He was also an active member of the Bristow Volunteer Fire Department. Dennis was the owner and operator of Ponca Valley Custom Body Shop in Bristow, Nebraska. He is survived by his wife, Anita; sons, Jeremiah Truman of Bristow, and Aaron Truman of Chicago, Illinois; brother David Truman, and father, Del Truman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Verna Jean; grandparents, Charles and Charlotte Fox, and Edith and John Truman.
