Aubrey Lee Turner U.S. Veteran Aubrey Lee Turner, 87, passed away on November 1, 2014 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Chris Stephens and Rev. James Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Mr. Turner was born on October 28, 1927 in Sweetwater, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Fisher and Nolan Counties. He married Ruby Lee Youngblood on December 24, 1948 in Garrison, Texas. Aubrey was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from U.S.G. after 34 years as a mechanic and Mechanic Foreman. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and was a Deacon and Trustee as well. Survivors include his son, Aubrey Lynn Turner and his wife, DeeAnn of Roscoe, and his granddaughter, Lindsey Brooke Turner of Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel L. and Azalee (Hale) Turner, and by his wife, Ruby Lee Turner, on February 16, 2009. Pallbearers will be Leon West, Jerry West, Jim West, John Hamilton, Kerry Baker and Ronald Hill. Visitation will be from 6 until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at McCoy Funeral Home.
