Bio

Herald Coaster, June 24, 1968: Funeral services for Leslie Eugene Seiler, 21, of Lake Jackson, nephew of W.E. Seiler of Rosenberg and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Seiler of Needville, were scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Jackson. Burial was to be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Rosenberg. Mr. Seiler was found dead in his car Saturday afternoon in rain-swollen Robison Creek west of La Grange. The seat belt of the University of Texas student was fastened when the submerged auto was found approximately four hours after the accident. He was en route home to complete plans for his marriage to Miss Monica Davis of Sonora. The death was ruled accidental, attributed to either injuries resulting from collision of the car with the creek bridge or drowning. Other survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Seiler of Lake Jackson and a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Seiler of Austin.
