Ina Mae (Polly) New Nov. 20, 1925 – July 10, 2014 Resident of Pittsburg Polly was born in Briggs, Texas to William Edgar and Jessie Faith, she was the youngest of 9 children. She had just graduated from Leander High School in Leander, Texas when her parents moved to Pittsburg during World War II, that's where she met her husband Reginold. They were married for 57 years when Reg died in 2004. Polly was a school bus driver and retired in 1985. She loved to play Bingo at the Fifty Plus Club and Stoneman Village. She was a Texas Hold'em champ and loved going to Reno and Laughlin. Polly was a fiesty, funloving little Texan who was a friend to everyone; she even made friends in the grocery store line. She will be sadly and forever missed by her 4 children, Cheryl New, Cathy Bourgeois (Rick), Donna Quesada and Joel New, her sister Beulah Thomas of Lake Havasu; 4 grandchildren, Jose Quesada (Gina), Lynsey Sanford (Doug), Simone and Marie Bourgeois. She is also survived by her 5 great grandchildren, Dannica, Victoria, Makena, Luciana, Damien, her loving dog Milo. Published Contra Costa Times July 17, 2014
