Bio

RANDAL LEE FAITH, age 88, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, in Katy, Texas. He was born on April 22, 1924, in Briggs, Texas, to William Edwin and Jessie Crow Faith. Randal proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corp, from May 1943 until February 1946. During World War II, he was part of the 509 Composite Group, that which was responsible for ending the war in the South Pacific. Randal enjoyed a long career as an electrical contractor. He served as an elder in the Lutheran Church in Austin, President of the Travis County Electrical Contractors Association, and President of the Optimist Club. Randal enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and coaching many different sports teams. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty years, LaFern Faith; grandson, Trenton Lee Faith, II; and six siblings. Randal is survived by his children, Christy Lerche and husband Randall, Debby Richardson and husband Bobby, Randa Bruce and husband Bill, Merri Ziemak and husband Carl, and Trenton Faith and wife Christina; sisters, Beulah Thomas and Polly New; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77478, with a visitation beginning prior to the service at 9:00 AM. Randall will be laid to rest at Cook Walden Capital Parks, Pflugerville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. He and LaFern (Alley) Faith were married November 25, 1945. Divorce Date September 5, 1985 in Williamson County, Texas.
