Bio

Wilbur [sic] Norman Kroh, 52, died suddenly at 7 a.m. Sunday at the Owens-Illinois Glass Company as he was completing his shift. He was born in Redbank township on August 25, 1890, the son of W. Henry and Eliza Kroh. On May 14, 1917, he was united in marriage with Miss Elda [Alda]Kifer of Clarion. He was an electrician and had been employed at the Owens-Illinois plant for the past 30 years. Surviving are his wife and the following children: Norman R. Kroh of Baltimore, Md.; Robert G. Kroh of Bessemer, Ala.; Betty Kroh and Gerald Kroh at home; two sons by a former marriage, Charles Kroh of Clarion and Clayton Kroh of California; five grandchildren, his father, W. Henry Kroh of Clarion; and two brothers, Albert Kroh of Clarion and Harold Kroh of Bridgeton, N. J. The Clarion Democrat (PA), Thu, Dec 24, 1942, p 8. ******************** W. N. Kroh, 18, of Hawthorn, Clarion Co., son of W. H., and E. A. Kroh and Leora May Rockey, 20, of Redbank Twp., Clarion Co. were married on May 28, 1909 at Hawthorn, Clarion Co. by Rev. J. A. Galbraith. Leora was born in South Dakota, daughter of C. A. and Leora Rockey. W.N. Kroh was listed as a teamster and Leora as a housekeeper. Neither had been previously married.
