Johnny Louis Spaniel, 76, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014, in Frost, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2014, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place at 10 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2014, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Johnny was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Johnny and Mary (Krajca) Spaniel. He grew up in Ennis and attended St. John Catholic Schools. Johnny served his country proudly in the United States Army. He worked for Owens Corning Corporation for over 18 years in the warehouse. Johnny was a member of the KJT. He was a great accordion player and enjoyed fishing, gardening, storytelling, and could outwork just about anyone, anytime. He was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond Spaniel and George Spaniel; and a sister, Olga Krysinski. Survivors include his sons, Johnny Spaniel, Jr. and Brandon Spaniel; daughters: Pamela Elliott and husband, Lonnie, Cheryl Clamon and husband, Rusty, Deanna Hosey, Rennie Scott, and Kristen Radke and husband, Chad; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Zabojnik and Bernice Gee; other relatives and many friends.
