Terry J. "T. J." Hight, 69, of Sumiton died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Baptist Medical Center-Walker. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2002, at New Horizon Memorial Chapel with burial in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Rev. T. J. Millican will officiate. New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home is directing. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, March 9, 2002, at New Horizon Memorial Chapel. He was a retired, self-employed carpenter and a member of Owens Chapel Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Naomi Hight; two brothers, William "Bill" Hight and Charlie Hight; and one sister, Johnnie Mae Cordell. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Henrietta M. Hight; two sisters, Pauline Fowler of Arab and Louise Russell of Sumiton; several adopted children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
