Randall "Randy" Stiba, 49, of Taylor died Thursday, February 27, 2003 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Family visitation will be on Saturday from 6 to 8 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Celebration of Life service will be 2 PM, Sunday at Providence Funeral Home with Rev. James Hejl officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery. Randall Wayne Stiba was born on October 8,1953 to Dorothy (Miller) and Ernest A. Stiba, Sr. in Taylor, Texas. Randy was a lifelong resident of Taylor and well known in the community. In his younger years, he began working for T.U. Electric. He work there for about 13 years. Randy also ventured into his own business while still working at T.U. For the last 25 years, he was owner and operator of Randy's Ice House in Taylor. Randy was a member of the Taylor Brethren Church, the Taylor Yellow Catters and Ducks Unlimited. Randy was also an avid sportsman, he enjoyed spending his spare time fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Shary Stiba of Taylor; a son, Ryan Edward Stiba of Taylor; a daughter, Randa Lynn Stiba and her fiancé, Chad Schwarz of Houston; his parents, Dorothy and Ernest Stiba, Sr. of Taylor; brothers, Ernest Stiba, Jr. and wife, Beverly of Waco and David Stiba of Taylor; a sister, Debbie Spence and husband, Lange of Salado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
